A Holy Temple: Say No to Obesity

Or don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit….

Ladies we need to get it together. Research shows that more women are dying of heart disease than breast cancer or cervical cancer. I have never thought of a woman having a heart attack. When I think about heart attacks, the imagine of a male comes to mind. We have to start taking care of ourselves not only for ourselves, but also for our families.

• Exercise
• Eating healthy
• Laugh a lot
• Visit friends and family
• Do not drink alcohol (this is a big one)

Here are some of the risk factors that increase with an increase in weight.
• Coronary heart disease
• Type 2 diabetes
• Cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon)
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Dyslipidemia (for example, high total cholesterol or high levels of triglycerides)
• Stroke
• Liver and Gallbladder disease
• Sleep apnea and respiratory problems
• Osteoarthritis (a degeneration of cartilage and its underlying bone within a joint)
• Gynecological problems (abnormal menses, infertility)
